ALL UNIFORM GUIDES are kept up-to-date by including changes to official uniform regulations, as we become aware of them, in the next printing. The printing date for each guide may be found on page 2 of all Uniform Guides. Between printings, if significant changes occur, you will find them on this site. We update this site regularly. The new Army Combat Uniforms are included in the current edition. The new Afghanistan and Iraq Campaign Medals are worn respectively after the Kosovo Campaign Medal and before the Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal. The new Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal are worn respectively before the Korean Defense Service Medal and after the Iraq Campaign Medal. The new Korean Defense Service Medal is worn after the Global War on Terror Service Medal and before the Armed Forces Service Medal. The reverse field patch (flag) in red, white, and blue is sewn on the right sleeve, 1/2 inch below the shoulder seam. If a combat patch is also worn, the flag is sewn 1/8 inch below the combat patch. Subdued flags are NOT authorized. Up to 5 badges may be worn on the Class A uniforms. The Sapper Badge is included as a group 4 badge. The Combat Action Badge is a group 1 badge.

The new Combat Action Medal is worn directly after the Air Force Achievement Medal and before the Air Force Presidential Unit Citation. The new Afghanistan and Iraq Campaign Medals are worn respectively after the Kosovo Campaign Medal and before the Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal. The new Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal are worn respectively before the Korean Defense Service Medal and after the Iraq Campaign Medal. The new Korean Defense Service Medal is worn after the Global War on Terror Service Medal and before the Armed Forces Service Medal. Changes included in the current printing include the following:
NEW METALLIC NAME TAGS WILL BE WORN ON THE SERVICE DRESS UNIFORM IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER: The name tag is worn on the right side with the bottom of the tag level with the bottom of the ribbons. It is centered between the lapel and the sleeve seam. Men will center duty badge a half inch below the name tag and women will center it a half inch above the name tag. The name tag is also worn on the pullover sweater aligned with the middle of the sleeve seam, with the bottom of the name tag hitting that line. It is centered between the sleeve seam and the seam of the neckline.
Correct Wear of the Command Insignia is as follows: Battle Dress Uniform Current commanders wear it 1/2 inch above the name tape. Former commanders center it on the right pocket flap. Blue shirt or blouse, long or short sleeved Current commanders center it 1/2 inch above the name tag. Former commanders center it between name tag and button of right pocket flap Female former commanders center it 1/2 inch below the name tag. Flight suits Embroidered on the name patch directly preceding the name.
